Weight Gain Culprits

You just stepped on the scale this morning, and what to your surprise you have ........ 5 pounds in the last week! (This could be a win lose situation, you just insert your latest!) "What in the world?!" you think to yourself. "How is this happening?"
Well, here are just a few ideas that might be part, or all of the reasons for the fluxuation. Now keep in mind that this is from experience, and No we are not doctors, nor do we play one on tv....
1) Water gain/ loss. This is a number one for women. (And you all know why) no need to go further.... The important thing is to stay hydrated!
2) Nibbling from the kids plate. I have come to realize that it is not necessarily a good idea to demand that children eat everything on their plate. When they are full, they stop. As women, we should do this too! And NEVER finish off the children's plate as you do the dishes, thinking that you shouldn't let it go to waste! Because it will be YOUR WAIST that it goes to! You can sabotage your diet with thousands of extra callories a week by practicing this no-no alone!
3) Stress/ boredom. Stress is a killer for eating! You might eat because of stress, or you might not eat at all.. causing your body to begin yo-yoing up and down, and REALLY messing with your metabolism! Boredom eating is probably my biggest sin.. I simply have nothing else to do, or like me... I like to eat while I am doing something like reading! Then before I know it, I am on chapter 20 and the Doritos bag is empty. Good by swimsuit thighs! Hello saddle bags!
4) Finally, don't snack after 7 pm. Resist at the movies. And make dinner your final meal until moring. If this doesn't make a change in your curves... you need to add exercise too!

In The Beginning, There was food, and it was good!

We begin this journey into the unknown, boldly going where no Stanger... has gone before! BWAHAHAHA! It is our quest, like Don Quitoxte... (SP) to become like Don Juan! Or al least his abs....

In reality, we want to encourage each other, and and anyone else out there who enjoys humor, wit, and weight to stay on track and get in better shape. Perhaps better control is the key, but for now- this is a beginning, and lifestyle changes are in the making!
